The Wrath of the Furies

After an absense from the House, Kazuo returns, claiming to have killed the old enemy of the Phoenix Fighters, Felsen.  Overjoyed with this news, Adriana begins to spend more and more time with him until soon the two of them are involved in an openly romantic relationship.  Philip and Aden both become overly protective of Adriana, but she chides them, reminding Aden in particular that he cannot treat her the same way he treats Tranns regarding her relationship with Lucien.

Upstairs, Tranns walks into Lucien's room and discovers him in a state of panic.  She tries to find out what's wrong with him, but he'll only tell her that his dead aunt has come back to kill him and that he has to escape the House.  The two of them get into a brawl, ending when Lucien floors Tranns and runs out of the room, screaming that his aunt has come for revenge on him.

A team led by Philip quickly tracks Lucien down, finding him five minutes away from the House, clawing a tree with his fingernails.  He is brought back and locked in the basement where he continues to babble to himself.  Warren explains the situation to Adriana:  Lucien is indeed being haunted by his Aunt Audi.  When Adriana asks how it's possible for Lucien to see a ghost, Warren explains that in Risan mythology, there are spirits known as the Furies that allow the dead to talk to the living in cases of kin murder.  When Adriana goes to the basement to question Lucien, he reluctantly admits that he murdered his aunt.

It is clear that Audi is seeking revenge, but with Lucien locked in the cell, it will be impossible for her to cause him any harm, as the dead cannot possess living family members.  Audi makes it clear that she will have her revenge, one way or another before vanishing.  Left alone, Tranns questions Lucien about his actions and finds herself torn.  She admits to Adriana that she's in love with Lucien, but that she doesn't know if she can forgive him for poisoning his aunt.

Audi returns to take matters into her own hands.  Possessing Tranns instead of Lucien, she forces Tranns into suicidal action.  Warren alerts Adriana to the situation and she races to the scene, armed with the same dagger Aden used to depossess Mia when she was taken over by Reidna.  Adriana stabs Tranns and Audi vanishes into the ether, leaving the House completely shaken.  Tranns and Lucien get into an enormous fight, resulting in a strengthening of their relationship beyond anything they imagined.
