A Bloody Mess

Adriana performs a routine spell on Mia, hoping to find out if the potion from the Reidna incident is still in her system.  Something goes wrong however, making it seem as though Mia has been teleported.  Mia finds herself in what appears to be the ruins of the House.  She quickly discovers that even without the protection of the building, she is able to use magic.  Immediately, she teleports to Adriana's location and is baffled to find herself in Hyrule, attending a royal ball in North Castle.

Mia very quickly realizes that she has been sent forward in time and is now interacting with the alternate versions of the Guardians who didn't grow up in fear of the Red Dragon:  Phil the luthier, Tranns the missionary, Sito the artist, Jesse the family man and knight, Adriana the traveler, and Ariadne, arranged wife of Tranns' cousin Ewan.  Mia learns from Tranns and Adriana that the Ebene were defeated by the mysterious Phoenix Fighters after ten long years of war and great loss to both sides.

After making a stray comment to Philip about how in her world, he is romantically linked to Ariadne, Mia inadvertantly opens up the doors of a hidden passion between the two current versions of the duo.  Philip and Ariadne run away together, infuriating Ewan.  He corners Mia in a guest bedroom of Rose Garden (now Tranns' villa) and demands that she retrieve a vase of Hind's Blood from Adriana's mother so that he can kill Philip in revenge.  If she refuses, he will harm her brothers.  Mia tells Adriana who warns Philip of the danger.  He and Ariadne seek shelter in a local mission.  Adriana and Mia decide to play along with Ewan's game but when they arrive on the Summer estate, they find the Hind's Blood has vanished.

Although they initially suspect Ewan of the theft, Adriana's little sister Danielle draws their attention to the fact that there is a hole in the bottom of the vase and the afterimage of a portal in the room.  The thief was clearly Andorian.  Mia drops a bombshell on Adriana and Danielle when she informs them that Ariadne is, in fact, Andorian.  Adriana contacts Philip to find out if he has the Blood, but he tells her he does not.

Back at Rose Garden, Tranns informs Mia that Ewan is lurking about upstairs.  Armed with pig's blood, Mia timidly approaches him.  Mistaking the pig's blood for the Hind's Blood, Ewan refuses to touch it.  Instead, he forces a dagger into Mia's hand and teleports with her to the mission where he urges her to stab Philip with the blade soaked in blood.  Adriana arrives just as Mia obeys.  Philip is reduced to a pile of ash.

Feeling his revenge is complete, Ewan attempts to take Ariadne back by force.  She responds by thrusting her talons, soaked in the real Hind's Blood, at him.  Just as she is about to kill Ewan, Adriana discourages her, instead altering Ewan's memory so that he is made to believe he has given Ariadne to Philip as a gift.  Philip is restored after the clever hoax.  Mia bids a fond farewell to her new friends and Adriana transports her back to the time and place she belongs.  She returns to a tense Phoenix House, confronting the return of Maze with a new pack of bodyguards.
