The engineered virus infecting Amorette starts to manifest itself in the form of extreme violence. As Casey struggles
to investigate, Shawn approaches her, informing her that he intends to confront Maze about the harsh treatment he's been giving
her. Casey response with a passionate outburst, knocking Shawn unconscious with a handkerchief soaked in ether.
Valero pays a visit to Amorette in the basement cell. As they begin to discuss the love their share and their past,
Amorette's symptoms slowly start to fade. Upstairs, however, Casey suddenly appears dressing in an uncharacteristically
sensual outfit. She outright flirts with Jonas, Maze, and Rinault before Valero is called in to examine her. Jonas
scans her with the white crystal and determines that she has the virus. Bored with Valero's questions, she escapes
to the basement and tries to seduce Philip. There, she is knocked unconscious and taken up to her room where she wakes
up to find the ether bottle. Her symptoms vanish.
Maze comes to Casey's room and the two of them exchange harsh words. Suddenly, Jonas appears, shouting Maze out.
The next morning, Jonas proceeds to beat the tar out of Shawn. Together, Casey and Valero determine that the virus causes
a person to unlock their inhibitions. Jonas is clearly infected and the disease seems psychological. A good conversation
with Shawn clears up the problem, but Krysta, fetching Casey's crystal from Jonas, becomes infected and begins behaving in
a prim, proper manner.
Realizing that the virus spreads through the crystal, Valero talks a cure into Krysta, accidentally infecting himself.
His multiple personalities, however, leave him without any inhibitions and no symptoms emerge. With the virus effectively
cleared up, the Phoenix Fighters begin to wonder about the source of the infection.
Just as Tranns and Lucien return from leave, Cecilia enters the lobby, announcing that she knows the source of the virus.
Pfalz, she claims, has turned traitor. Adriana catches Pfalz in a net made by Casey that prevents her from phasing.
She is taken to the basement, along with freeloader Nania, and the Phoenix Fighters wonder about what to do with her, all
of them dealing with a sense of betrayal. Maze threatens Adriana, telling her that he will call in a royal guard if
Pfalz is not executed.
