With the help of Casey and Aden, Adriana begins to learn what it means to be pregnant. Aden warns her of symptoms
including the inability to use Din's Fire and potential glitches in teleportation. Depressed, Adriana takes a trip away
from the House, intent on visiting Kit at the Tin Roof. Halfway across the countryside however, she becomes thoroughly
lost. Recalling a weak spot in the magic barrier that Kit told her about, Adriana attempts to use Farore's Wind to teleport
herself to Sybok. The spell goes wrong and instead of being teleported, she accidentally summons Mycene and Danielle
Miller, her half sisters from another timeline.
The three girls set off for the Tin Roof where they find Kit in a state of panic. She explains that the Ebene are
on a quest for a mythic artifact called the Saffron Star with the power to raise the dead as mindless zombies. Unfortunately
suffering from a broken leg, Kit is unable to retrieve the artifact before the Ebene can get it. Adriana and Danielle
eagerly agree to go after it, Mycene reluctantly going along. Meanwhile, back the House, Philip expresses concern over
Adriana's absence and decides to go after her. Ariadne insists on following him.
Following Ana's scent, Philip and Ariadne discover an Ebene campsite. They overhear plots to retrieve the Saffron
Star and decide to follow the soldiers. The tables turn quickly and the soldiers capture the couple, dragging them along
as they move to complete their mission for the Saffron Star.
Using Kit's texts about the Saffron Star, Adriana, Danielle, and Mycene discover a cave. As they search for the
Star, they talk about the differences and similarities between their respective timelines and Adriana grows very somber about
the life she missed out on. After becoming hopelessly lost, the girls discover a lake. Mycene dives to the bottom
and finds the Saffron Star. Triumphant, they are about to leave when the Ebene party enter, dragging Philip and Ariadne
as prisoners.
Adriana and Danielle create a distraction while Mycene helps to free Airy and Phil. The group take flight
from the cave, the Ebene chasing them. Finally, Ariadne instructs everyone to cover their ears. She lets loose
a sonic scream which results in the heads of the soldiers exploding. Once safe, the Saffron Star is destroyed and the
group heads back to the Phoenix House. Using her innate Andorian powers, Ariadne creates a portal which sends the Miller
girls back where they belong.
