Two new faces have shown up. Zil and Nania Natho, Sheikah twins, have
come to the House. They reveal that they are from Rinault's past, which forces Rin to open up a little more to
his older sister. It isn't long before Zil and Rinault get smitten with each other. They take the oath of being 'mates'
and Zil is soon pregnant with Rinault's child. Rin and Zil become engaged, and are pretty much flying high with their
heads in the clouds.
Two days later, while Rin is in the pool, presumabley in a yelling match
with Krysta, Zil is attacked by an Ebene named Reax. Zil sends a despeate cry for help to Rin, who rushes to the aid
of his fiance. He fights valiantly against the huge Ebene, but is thoroughly manhandled and his father's sword,
the Shadow Blade, is destroyed during the fight. Reax stabs Rin in the stomach with part of the blade. Rinault
passes out from a mix of blood loss, and multiple clubbing blows to his head and Reax makes off with Zil. Rashia
comes down to find the unconcious Rinault.
She casts a healing spell on Rin, who gets to his feet and immediately sets
out after Zil, Rashia and Kazuo following him. They find Reax soon after, but Zil is nowhere around. After a brief Battle,
Reax is killed, he reveals that Zil is in a prison camp before he takes his final breath. Rinault, Rashia, and Kazuo set out
to the camp, arriving shortly. They split up, but it is Rinault who finds the holding cells, and kills all
the guards who step into his path. He finds Zil inside. She has been, literally, disected. She reveals that
they aged their daughter inside of her, then ripped her out, she also reveals the child has been taken to Ebera. She
dies in Rinault's arms after they share a final, brief kiss. Rinault buries her in the village.
The next few days are spent in hell by Rinault. He openly blames himself
for Zil's death, and makes several attempts to go and find his daughter. He is unsuccessful with each one. Soon
he puts a party together, consisting of himself, Jesse, Aeq, Pfalz, and Rashia. They set off to Ebera, where they encounter
an Ebene Officer named Gaes. It seems that Rinault's daughter, Cammie, has been given to him as a gift from Lord
Zelazny.
There is a battle, during which, Jesse grabs the child, presumeably Rin's
daughter, who has been aged to about the age of 6, and is sent back to the House by Rin. The battle ends when Aeq
puts an arrow in Gaes' head, and Rin impales him. Rashia, who was stabbed during the fight, gets them all back to the
House. About a week passes before Cammie awakens. After a little convincing, she accepts the fact that
Rinault is her biological father. This starts a new chapter in the young man's life.
