Meanwhile, Sito arrives at the Tin Roof and confesses to Kit that he really likes her and asks her to be his girlfrield.  She politely refuses.  After fixing the door, Sito leaves on horseback, heading home.  Along the way he is spotted by Cecelia who chases after him.  Though he tries to escape, Cecilia manages to capture and hold him in a cave with her mind set on turning him over to the Ebene so that she can become an officer.

 

After two days, Cecilia drags Sito to an Ebene stronghold where she is greeted by two officers, Cirrus and Klein.  The trio torture Sito.  Klein drugs Sito, putting him in a confused, dreamlike state and brings him into a room that is built as an exact replica of the Phoenix House lobby.  The three Ebene officers masquerade as members of the Phoenix Fighters, trying to get information out of the confused Sito.

 

Back at the Phoenix House, Pfalz is attacked by her own sister, Zetzica.  The Phoenix Fighters quickly come to her aid and manage to fight Zetzica off, though Tranns is severely wounded in the fray.  Mia, Amorette, and Rinault corner Zetzica, but Pfalz refuses to let them harm her, instead ordering her to depart.  Rinault mysteriously loses consciousness.

 

Growing anxious about her brother, Mia pesters Philip until he orders Tranns, Lucien, Valero, and Amorette to form a search party to find him.  When Joey overhears Lucien humming, she tells Tranns exactly where they will find Sito, displaying one of her many helpful powers.  The team follow Joey's advice and find the stronghold.  They rescue Sito with little resistence and escape, unaware that they are playing into Klein's hands.  Klein has implanted Sito with a chip.
